Informative Speech

Topic: Severe Weather
I chose this topic because of my extreme interest in the weather. I think this speech went very well. I was a little bit nervous, but I held together and delivered with mastery. Most of the information I already held from prior knowledge, so It was easy to get away from using the slides to speak for me.
I made a couple of odd mistakes during this speech. At one point I said left, when I should have said right, and I struggled to find a word at one point, but I don't think either of those hurt my performance.
In the middle of the speech the camera actually fell off of its tripod, and the video cuts out. That was pretty funny.

Persuasive Speech

Topic: The Moon is Made of Cheese!
This was a dual-persuasive speech. Kyle Picht and I teamed up to put this one together. The point of this speech was to show that you can be persuasive, even if your topic is completely ridiculous.
Kyle Picht is a good friend of mine, his e-portfolio is here. We decided we wanted to do a speech together, but we weren't sure what to do it on at first. I was having trouble coming up with a topic for my persuasive, so we came up with this idea. This was a lot of fun to do.
We got a great reaction from everyone that saw this speech. I think I was more nervous for this speech than I was for my informative, simply because I really didn't know how people would react to it.
The best part about this one, in my opinion, "Rampaging herds of fat space cows built the planets." Hilarious! I doubt I could have kept a straight face being in Kyle's position.
